INTERNSHIPS AND CO-OPS.
Intern and co-op students bring a fresh outlook to projects and the new perceptive we need to continue innovating. Intern and co-op programs are focused on projects that create a measurable impact on company growth.
We offer semester-long and summer internships. Students focus on a specific project to solve a problem and add value to the company. At the end of the program, students present their projects to our executive team.
Our co-op program consists of three rotations in separate engineering departments working on a different project each rotation. Each rotation is 12-14 weeks long and coordinates to the semester or summer internship programs. Rotations are typically done sequentially. Our co-op program is offered to students in Computer Science or Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Environmental and Industrial/Systems Engineering. Locations – Plymouth, Staunton, Jersey City, Atlanta.
SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT.
Daikin partners with universities as a student consultant and mentorship program. Students work to solve a specific business problem or create a specific tool for the company. Previous design teams for Daikin Applied have worked on price optimization, product optimization, supply chain efficiencies and big data for Intelligent Equipment.. Locations – Plymouth, Staunton
GRADUATE ENGINEER TRAINING PROGRAM
Our Graduate Engineer training (GET) program is a 14-week program designed to bring new engineers up to speed on the principles of HVAC. Students get hands on experience in Daikin Applied factories and research facilities. The GET program is not just technical training; we also focus on soft skills needed to be successful in all roles.
